Better By Design
Our KORB Hamper
The Korb hamper is designed to have a life well beyond the first gift. Rather than creating something intended to be used once and discarded, we’ve designed a strong yet contemporary basket that can be reused, repurposed and enjoyed for years to come.
The wooden lid is made from FSC-certified wood, and the construction has been carefully considered to make the hamper part of the gift, not simply packaging around it. Once the treats have been enjoyed, there’s still a useful, beautifully designed Korb to keep.
Quality first
We select our partner brands with care, looking not only at what they make, but at how they make it. Many of the products we feature are organic, and the cocoa used in our chocolate is ethically sourced.
Where we can, we favour materials that can have a life beyond the product. While glass is heavier to transport, it is widely recyclable and can be reused, making it a considered choice for our drinks.
Across our collection, packaging is predominantly paper, glass or tin. Our tins are chosen with reuse in mind, while the small amount of plastic used within some food products is limited to essential inner freshness packaging.
We don’t control the packaging decisions of every partner brand, but we do take them into consideration when choosing who we work with.
How We Pack
We’ve thought carefully about what surrounds the products on their journey to you.
Our wood wool is biodegradable, and can go straight into your home compost. Printed materials and gift wrap use FSC-certified paper, while the cotton pouches are made from 100% cotton and are also biodegradable.
It’s all part of the same approach: choosing materials thoughtfully, avoiding unnecessary packaging where we can, and making sure that what we do use has a purpose.
Always Improving
We know there is more we can do. Some things are within our control, others depend on the choices of the brands and suppliers we work with. As Korb grows, we’ll continue to look for better materials, better processes and better ways to reduce waste.
We don’t have all the answers, but we believe that designing better, choosing consciously and continually improving is a good place to start.
